Decker Barborek

Decker has been participating in track and field since the age of 6, first through FPYC, then through Fairfax High School where he was introduced to pole vaulting. He went on the compete for George Mason University, and is now excited about giving back in the form of coaching and officiating for years to come!
Decker competed in every event in high school and was recruited to GMU as a muli-event athlete. Decker still holds the Fairfax High School pole vault record at 15' as well as the 4x400 record. He was also a New Balance Nationals qualifier. At George Mason Decker is on the top-10 all-time list indoors and outdoors in the pole vault as well as indoors in the heptathlon. Decker's highest mark in pole vault in college was 4.98m or 16'4". My passion is pole vaulting and I look forward to nurturing this passion in other young athletes!
Decker is a Budget Analyst with the Federal Govrenment.
